How to connect your Gong account to slack2gong

Generate a Gong Access Key and Access Key Secret and paste them into slack2gong so it can push activity to your timeline.

slack2gong talks to Gong through Gong's own API, using an Access Key and Access Key Secret. It doesn't need a CRM connection — account matching happens entirely through the data Gong already has.

Generate your Gong API keys

Sign in to Gong as a user with admin / technical-administrator access.
Open Gong's company settings and find the API section (under the Ecosystem / API area).
Create a new API key. Gong shows you an Access Key and an Access Key Secret.
Copy both values somewhere safe — Gong only shows the secret once.

Add them to slack2gong

In slack2gong, go to Connect Gong (during onboarding) or the Settings page in your dashboard.
Paste the Access Key and Access Key Secret into the matching fields.
Save. slack2gong verifies the credentials against Gong's API.

Exact menu labels in Gong can change over time. If you can't find the API section, ask your Gong administrator — the keys must be created by someone with the right permissions.

You can replace or update these credentials anytime from the Settings page in your dashboard.
