slack2gong pushes your Slack Connect channel activity onto the right account's Gong timeline, every day, automatically. Setup takes about ten minutes and breaks down into three steps: connect Slack, connect Gong, then pick and match your channels.
Step 1 — Connect Slack
Sign in to slack2gong and click Connect Slack. This is a one-click OAuth flow — you authorize the slack2gong app in your Slack workspace, and we scan it to surface every Slack Connect (externally shared) channel automatically.
slack2gong only works with Slack Connect channels — the ones shared with people outside your company. Internal-only channels are filtered out, because there's no external account to match them to.
Step 2 — Connect Gong
Paste your Gong Access Key and Access Key Secret. That's the only credential we use, and the only thing we do with it is push activity events to the timeline. See the dedicated guide on connecting your Gong account for where to generate those keys.
Step 3 — Pick channels and confirm matches
slack2gong auto-matches each Slack Connect channel to a Gong account by cross-referencing the external people in the channel against the account data Gong already has. No CRM connection is needed. Review the suggested matches, confirm them, and invite the slack2gong bot to any channel you want synced.
Once a channel is matched and the bot is a member, slack2gong handles the rest — it bundles up each day's activity and pushes it to the matched account's Gong timeline automatically.
